Safety Instructions for food waste disposers

You should pay appropriate attention to the following points during installation as Gladore food waste disposers are powered by 220V/110V, and the motor revolves at a high speed of 1700 RPM

-
Read all instruments thoroughly. Children should be under adult's supervision.

-
Do not disassemble, refit, or repair the food waste disposer by yourself.

- Run cold water when using the food waste disposer. Keep running cold water for 15
seconds after the waste and the corrosive detergent have been fully disposed of

- Do not pour grease or fat down your food waste disposer or any drain. It can build up in
the pipes and cause drain blockages. Never grind maize husks, big bones, and clam or
oyster shells. Gladore disposers are designed for grinding food waste only. Never insert
glass, metals, cloths, plastic, porcelain, iron wire or other rubber substances.

- Gladore food waste disposers are designed to deal with organic wastes from a normal
household kitchen. Disposing of anything else might cause personal injury or property
  damage.

- Do not use hot water when grinding food waste; cold water can keep waste and fats
solid, thus the food waste disposer can effectively flush the particles away.

- To reduce risk of injury, remember not to use the sink containing the food waste
disposer for purposes other than disposing food wastes. (Such as washing hair or
  bathing a baby)

- Do not turn off the food waste disposer or the water until grinding is completed and only
the sound of the motor and running water can be heard.

- When trying to fix a jammed food waste disposer, or when removing objects from the
disposer, make sure the power is off. Never, under any circumstances, put your hand
into the food waste disposer. Use kitchen tongs, pliers, or the hook of a flattened wire
coat hanger to remove ungrindable debris from the disposer.

- When the food waste disposer is not in use, leave the drain stopper in place to prevent
objects from falling down into the appliance.
