Maintaining a food waste disposer

Maintenance Guide for food waste disposers

Because of their superior quality, Gladore's household food waste disposers are always receiving worldwide recognition and acclaim from families in countries around the world.

In order to maintain this quality we suggest our customers follow our maintenance guide and proper usage.

Gladore's technical engineers suggest you to pay appropriate attention to the following points:

- The motor of Gladore household food waste disposer is permanently lubricated, and
needs no additional lube. The food waste disposer can clean itself and scours its
  internal parts with each operation

- To prolong the lifetime of a Gladore food waste disposer, you should clean it thoroughly
every three months. (You can shorten the periods accordingly during summer)

- Never put lye or chemical drain cleaners into the food waste disposers, as these cause
serious corrosion of metal parts. If you do, resulting damage can be easily detected and
all food waste disposer warranties are void.

- Mineral deposits from your water can form on the stainless steel turntable giving the
food waste disposer a rusty appearance. Do not be alarmed. The stainless steel
  turntable will not corrode.

- Gladore food waste disposers can grind organic wastes such as rice residues,
fish-bones, outer leaves of vegetables, melon rinds, fruits peels, eggshells, tea leaves,
coffee residues, maize husks, small chicken bones, etc.

Never put glass, chinaware, metal bottle caps, plastic, clam or oyster shells, fibrous
materials, small hard materials, etc. into the food waste disposer.
